Kids Surf Camps

Aloha run our 5 day kids surf camps (non-residential) during the Easter and Summer school holidays. As always, 2 fun packed hours each day open to all kids from ages 8-16 years.
We appreciate that being a parent is not always easy, so this is why we leave these camps as flexible as possible, kids can go for as little or as many lessons as they want!

 What will it cost?

1 Day €30
2 Days €55
3 Days €75
4 Days €90
5 Days €100

The lesson price includes all equipment, instruction, use of changing rooms and hot showers.

As always, all surf lessons are fully supervised by our instructors who are all fully qualified Irish Surfing Association Surf Instructors and Beach Lifeguards… oh yeah and extremely patient!  They also have completed the Irish Sports Council’s “Code of Ethics and Good Practice for working with children in Sport” course.

Childrens´ first experiences with the ocean will shape their attitudes to it for the rest of their lives, and so our Kids Camps are designed to get kids off to a fun and safe start. Lessons are held in maximum waist depth water and instructors are in the water at all times, so children don’t have to be very strong swimmers.

We provide all equipment, wetsuits, wetsuit boots and soft surfboards, so all they need to bring is their swimming gear, a towel and some warm clothes for afterwards.
Each day throughout the camp, while learning to surf, we will also introduce them to various topics such as surf safety, learning about rip currents and tides etc

At the end of the week we finish with a surf competition where the kids get to show off their skills. They can also take part in the ISA’s Whitewater Surf Skills Awards (for an extra €10). This allows the surfers to have their skills recognised and on passing the different levels, they receive a cert and log book to record their achievements.

All Surf Coaches are Irish Surfing Association Approved Surf Instructors, qualified Beach Lifeguards, Garda vetted and have received training and certification in Child Protection
